Hi, I have been following your blog for a while now and I am jealous of your baking. everything looks so yummy. I have tried to bake a couple easy things (pizza dough, muffins) and I’m a nightmare. the buns look perfect!
[...] 1. My friend Amanda tweeted about finding this amazing candy that she had found Dove Peppermint Bark. Hubby had to go out and find me some, as I have been having some serious peppermint cravings lately. She’s as enamored by them as I am. Check out what she made with them! [...]

I know for fact those “babies” wouldn’t last much past supper at my house. You know your pawpaw and breads…sweet or nonsweet. I need to make the man some homemade rolls. It’s been forever.

OMG. SO I sat here one day thinking to myself: I do NOT need 12 baking blogs saved in my favorites to drool over every day and lead me into temptation, and vowed to thin the herd. Yeah. Then I saw these. Let me tell you, your blog has earned a permanent spot in my favorites for all of time. OMG. These ARE being made Thanksgiving morning. Now the search for Dove Peppermint Bark begins……
awww mine got up to make this for breadkfast but it decided not to rise at all once I mixed it all together. Trying again right now. I’m determined to have these!!!!
my yeast was picky at 110 so i lowered the temp to 100 and had great sucess. Thanks for a great inspiring recipe.

I’m so glad it worked out well for you! It’s funny how picky yeast is sometimes. I bought a big bulk package recently at Sam’s and I have never in my life met a pickier yeast. So frustrating sometimes!

You’ve never had peppermint bark?! You’re definitely missing out! It’s a chocolate candy that’s usually a layer of milk or dark chocolate with white chocolate on top and then chopped candy canes sprinkled throughout. Ghiradelli makes the best: http://shop.ghirardelli.com/product-exec/product_id/786/nm/Limited_Edition_Peppermint_Bark_Squares_Chocolates_Case_Pack but I’ve got a homemade version that’s pretty good: http://www.amanda.fakeginger.com/?p=937
You definitely need to give it a try. I just tried it for the first time a few months ago and I’m in love with it now. Thanks for commenting! :)
