Call me obsessed if you want. I’m just having a lot of fun with my (small) collection of cookie cutters that I’ve never really had a use for.
And trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t when it comes to decorating. You definitely have to make up your own rules when it comes to royal icing. You just have to play around with the consistency of the icing until you figure out what works for you. Same with decorating tips.
This was my mess up cookie, the one I was working on when Landon’s huge fire truck slammed into the table. I thought about throwing it away but after playing with it awhile it turned out to be my favorite of the batch.
(Same recipe as usual, lemon extract instead of almond. I’ll share my royal icing method as soon as I figure out what that method is.)
