Cookies & Cream Fudge
December 18, 2010 in candy, holiday

I am having the worst time coming up with Christmas goodies this year! I always want to make something that just screams CHRISTMAS but I just haven’t stumbled upon much inspiration.
This is what I call Cheater’s Fudge. It’s so easy and turns out delicious every time. You just melt chocolate with some sweetened condensed milk and then fold in your choice of add-ins. I went with Oreo’s but any candy or cookie would work. It’s not going to have the same texture as regular candy thermometer fudge but it’s so easy that you won’t even care!

My baking list is full for the day but I am tempted to make this too:)
This my absolute favorite fudge! I’m planning to make several tons of this to give away as christmas presents ^^*
Also works well without the oreos but some drops of red food coloring to make nice swirls.
So delicious!
I love how the cookies show through the chocolate.

That would be adorable! I wish I’d thought of it! :)
As long as it tastes good, who cares if it is “cheaters fudge”. Yummy.

I have the absolute worst luck when it comes to melting white chocolate (seizing, burning, etc) but I might have to give it another try…cookies and cream is one of my favorite flavors of ice cream so I’m sure this is amazing!

My hubs was looking over my shoulder and said, oooh that looks really good in the evil voice. So I may have to try this. Hmm. Wonder if Peanut M&M’s would work.

We’ll have to give this recipe a try. We tried to make something similar last year and I didnt like how it turned out, but this version looks like it made very nice fudge!
I agree…the holiday Oreos would make this even better! Looks delicious.

Wow, I love this fudge. Thank you the great idea!
Amanda…this took me a grand total of 5 minutes to make! It’s so simple and delicious! Thank you for the wonderful recipe!
Love…all the way from India :)
This looks so delicious but like a previous comment, I always have the hardest time trying to melt white chocolate. I’ve been using Ghirardelli White Baking Chips and it just doesnt want to melt. Any suggestions?
White chocolate is such a pain to melt! I almost always use a heatproof bowl set a top a pot of barely simmering water. Try chopping the chips into even smaller pieces too. I’ve found the less time they’re actually on the heat, the better. If you have a few chunks that haven’t melted, go ahead and pull it off the heat. Just don’t turn the heat up too high and stir a lot! :)
Thanks Amanda!
This looks yummy. I’m curious how the texture is different? Firmer? Softer?
It was definitely firmer than traditional fudge. Still delicious though! Thanks for commenting! :)

Does it melt when not refrigerated? I’m thinking of sending some out of state. Thanks.
I don’t think it would melt unless the temps were pretty high. I want to say you’d be okay doing it but I’ve never tried so I’m not 100% on it.
Thanks for reading and commenting! :)

I’m thinking of making this for a dessert swap but I need 4 dozen pieces of it. How many pieces does one bath typically make?
It really depends on how small you want the pieces. I’d say you could get 25 decent-sized pieces from one batch.
