Happy Friday! Who’s ready for the weekend? I know I am!
This week’s French Fridays with Dorie post is about the Tourteau de Chevre, which is basically a cheesecake made with goat cheese instead of cream cheese. I chose to make mine as bars because I can justify eating a bunch of squares of cheesecake better than I can justify eating a bunch of large slices of cheesecake. *shrugs* They worked perfectly as bars, didn’t have to adjust the recipe at all.
I have to tell you that on the day I made this, I wasn’t thrilled with it. It was extremely dry and tasted just like any other cheesecake. But by the next day… oh the next day… it was like a different dish completely. It wasn’t dry anymore. You could taste a slight tang from the goat cheese. It was delicious!
If you’re interested in trying the recipe, you can find it in Dorie’s Around My French Table and make sure you check out the rest of the French Fridays with Dorie bloggers to see what everyone else though!
