What’s on my 4th of July Table

Yesterday we had a sort-of impromptu cookout and I wanted to share what was on my table in case anyone was looking for last minute 4th of July ideas.

The whole cookout was inspired by a shipment of Isernio’s Sausage that I received this past week courtesy of a giveaway on From Apples To Zucchini. The sausage was seriously impressive, in case you were wondering. I had the spinach & feta and it was perfection.

This BLT Pasta Salad is my husband’s favorite and he requested it as soon as I mentioned possibly making a pasta salad. My mom has made it for a few family functions and she always does green onions instead of regular so I did the same.

Broccoli Salad is another of husband’s favorites and I figured it would be a nice change from cole slaw.

Deviled eggs! Always a crowd pleaser. Sorry, no recipe for this one. It’s one of those recipes that you email your mom for and she responds “a little of this, a squirt of that, with a little of that other thing”.

After all the cold salads and eggs, I wanted at least one hot thing so I went with this rueben dip which turned out fantastic and I’ll have the recipe for you sometime this week. (Email me if you absolutely must have it for your 4th party!)

And finally – is this not the cutest cake ever?! I was inspired by Betty Crocker for this one and followed her method exactly. I found the fireworks toothpicks at Michael’s and they totally made the cake. So adorable!
