Secret Recipe Club – Spicy Pecan Cheeseball
October 17, 2011 in appetizer

Yup, it’s that time again! Another Secret Recipe Club reveal day!
This month I was assigned to Savour the Senses which is written by Jenny. I knew I would like Jenny as soon as I visited her about page and saw the picture of her eating a mango (I think?) off a giant fork. Now that is a girl I’d like to hang out with. Jenny has a ton of recipes that looked awesome and uhh… hey Jenny, I’m not too far from you if you’re ever hosting a dinner party and need guests. *ahem*
I found this recipe for Spicy Cheddar Pecan Dip and it immediately reminded me of my favorite cheeseball. So of course I had to turn the dip into a cheeseball! And it was…
Wait for it.
Ballin’. ;)
I couldn’t keep myself away from this cheeseball. Ridiculously good. In that cheeseball that I linked to above, strawberry jam is spread over the cheeseball so the spicy pepper jelly was a great way to switch things up. I’m already excited to make this one again!

Ingredients
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients but the hot pepper jelly and form into a ball. Spread jelly over the ball. (You may need to warm the jelly – I had to thin mine out with about a tablespoon of water to get it to spread.) Serve with crackers and whatever jelly you have leftover.

That cheese ball looks really yummy. I’m always looking for super easy recipes to take to events we attend and this one looks like it might be a winner.

That looks amazing! The pics are great. I make a dairy free “cheese” ball that I now think needs hot pepper jelly and pecans… Yum! Thanks for sharing!
Until just recently I have been scared of cheeseballs my whole life. I can’t believe I missed out on the radness of the cheeseball for so long. I am working hard to make up for all the missed time and this is moving to the top of my list. They are such a great appetizer.

I love the pepper jelly on top! It’s one of my favorite spreads and it doesn’t get nearly enough air time. I would have a hard time staying away from that yumminess, too!
