Another Friday, another French Fridays with Dorie post!

This week’s recipe was the ever-so-simple Mustard Batons. I have a deep love for mustard so I was pretty stoked about this one. It’s basically puff pastry spread with mustard and then baked. Yeah.

They turned out really good! I do think the recipe needs more mustard though and next time I would probably used a really spicy mustard instead of the regular dijon. The puff pastry, which I wouldn’t ever pair with mustard on my own, was flaky and buttery and really cut down on the tang of the mustard. The poppy seeds were unnecessary but made for pretty batons, huh?
