You guys.

I know it’s only the middle of September but the kids and I went and got Halloween costumes.

My house has been decorated for a month.

It was 95 degrees outside today but I had pumpkin candles going in every room.

Someone stop me.

Okay.

I know yesterday I said that I had a monkey bread coming today but I forgot that I wanted to talk about pizza first! So monkey bread Thursday!

And let’s be real, pizza is every bit as exciting as monkey bread.

ANYWAY.

Was your high school football team good?

Because mine wasn’t.

In 4 years, we won 1 game.

ONE.

I mean, the bleachers were always packed and we were so excited for the game every single week, but man, we were terrible.

Curious: if you still live in your hometown, do your kids go to your high school? Do you go to football games with them?

If I still lived in Mobile, I’d totally want my kids to go to Baker and I’d definitely be the obnoxious parent at all the games, even if they are still terrible.

Balela Salad - Trader Joe's copycat recipe! Super simple and so delicious!

Happy Monday, guys! Let’s start this week healthy.

Because tomorrow I’ve got a cinnamon apple monkey bread and we are going to indulge.

ANYWAY.

How was the weekend?

Mine was pretty boring. I’m not even sure that I left the house.

The highlight was me freaking out for over an hour last night because I lost the memory card that had SIX RECIPES still on it. I had put it in the pocket of my sweatpants and then I started working on some yoga stuff and put it on my nightstand so that I wouldn’t lose it.

And yep, went looking for it not long after and it was GONE.

Found it in my running shoes an hour later.

Still don’t know how it happened but hey, I found it and now we have this Balela Salad to talk about.

(ALSO, there’s a giveaway at the bottom! So keep scrolling!)

Homemade Pumpkin Cream Cheese - made with only 5 ingredients and with a non-dairy option! This recipe is so simple and is perfect on a toasted bagel!

Heeeey guys!

I’m breaking all my rules and posting a pumpkin recipe in September.

I know, the worst.

But here’s the thing.

I have been waiting for pumpkin cream cheese for weeks. I don’t know why. Y’all know I don’t really care about pumpkin until the weather starts to change a little but maaaaaan, I have been dreaming about a bagel with pumpkin cream cheese.

That’s a lie. I dream about pad thai every single night of my life but I have been thinking about pumpkin cream cheese more than is probably normal.

Here are the issues with that:

First: no one around here has pumpkin cream cheese yet. Have I checked every store in the area?

Yes.

Twice.

The other thing is that I don’t even eat cream cheese made with dairy. So I would literally buy it, take a bite, and then feed the rest to my kids.
