Let’s talk about that post-vacation slump.
You know, when you don’t want to go back to real life so you’re still eating junk for every meal and telling yourself that you’re just too busy recovering from vacay to eat healthy. Or workout. Or do laundry. Or even take your makeup off at night.
I have been in it since I went to Salt Lake City last month. I left for New Orleans, like, a week and half later so it’s seriously been a month of unhealthy eating and skipping the gym.
This week, I’ve decided to get back on track.
I prepped a ton of veggies and proteins on Sunday (it was on my snapchat: amandalivesay) and I’ve got a fridge full of Bolthouse Farms® beverages.
I love Bolthouse Farms.
If I’m running into the grocery store for a quick snack after a workout, I’m going for a Bolthouse Farms smoothie.
Or their Vanilla Chai Tea cafe drink.
That one’s amazing.
They’ve got a huge range of delicious super-premium juices, smoothies, protein shakes, and cafe beverages. There’s a wide selection of beverages that are gluten free, have no added preservatives, no artificial flavors, and no high fructose corn syrup, which makes making healthy choices super easy. And still delicious.
They have some new flavors that I’m pretty excited about it. They’ve got Mango Pineapple Colada, Berries and Green Veggies, and Raspberry Blood Orange. And the new Protein PLUS flavors are Banana Honey Almond Butter, Coconut, and Strawberry.
I thought I would use one of those new juices to create a yummy cocktail!
So I took the Raspberry Blood Orange juice, mixed it with some fresh lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur and made a margarita!
The Raspberry Blood Orange juice is so perfect for margaritas. It’s tart but still sweet and with the salted rim… yes!
Okay guys, if you see me posting doughnuts or pizza on Instagram or Snapchat, please yell at me. I’ve got to get back on track.
- Combine Bolthouse Farms Raspberry Blood Orange juice, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and agave nectar in a pitcher; stir well.
- To serve the drinks, run a slice of lime around the rim of 4 glasses and dip in salt. Fill the glasses with ice and divide the margaritas between them. Garnish with lime wedges and fresh raspberries, if desired.
