I know I’ve been MIA lately but hopefully next week things will be back to normal. To make up for my lack of posting, I thought I’d share 5 of my favorite photos from the welcome home ceremony since I haven’t shared any yet.

1. One of my biggest fears is that the dog will eat my phone in the middle of the night. It’s the kind of worry that causes me to sit up at 3 am and yell “CLEMENTINE!” because I’m 100% convinced she’s doing it. And it’s ridiculous because she’s barely bigger than the phone!
2. I call my kids Nanny, Bendy, and Pookie.
3. The smell of green bananas make me gag. So do cotton balls. Not the smell, the feel.
4. This tweet occurred weeks ago and I still laugh every time I think about it. (It wasn’t autocorrect. It really happened.)
5. I put this photo on my husband’s homecoming banner. I can’t wait to hang it up on the main gate.

1. We went to Fargo’s for the kid’s party to celebrate the end of the soccer season. I let him choose the pizza and he, of course, went for the bacon one. It was covered in huge pieces of bacon and tons of cheddar. It was amazing.
2. I am the reason stores put Christmas items out in the middle of the summer. I couldn’t resist this pillow earlier in the week! I mean, it’s the cutest reindeer ever. And why yes, I also bought chocolate syrup and whipped cream in a can. Don’t judge me.
3. I freakin’ love that the baby fits in these cars now. He’s so cute.
4. That’s our Daddy Chain. I had done jellybeans a few months back but someone keep eating all of them. So far, so good with the chain – no one’s tried to eat it. Yet. (And omg, the chain is so short!)
5. My new favorite candle. Everyone says it smells like Abercrombie Fierce but I don’t think so. It smells good but not as good as Fierce.

1. Last month I started getting a Bountiful Basket each week and it’s definitely one of my favorite parts of the week. That box cost me $16.50 and included potatoes, apples, grapes, spinach, romaine, red bell peppers, a cucumber, strawberries, grape tomatoes and tons of broccoli!
2. I can’t bake a cookie to save my life these days. :( Don’t worry, we ate them anyway.
3. The kid has his last soccer game (his second season playing) a few nights ago. He was doing his “goal dance” in the photo. Right after I snapped it he started fist pumping. Help me.
4. My dear, sweet husband re-enlisted this week! Yaaaaay! Part of re-enlisting is being able to choose if you want to stay where you are and when he asked my opinion I was all “It doesn’t matter to me, blah blah blah, do what’s best for you but… I really love Colorado!” So we’re staying here, close to the mountains that I love so much! At least for the next little while.
5. On my nails this week: Sparkle Aplenty by Revlon.
