It’s layers of crispy saltine crackers coated in butter and brown sugar (and baked to create the toffee part), peanut butter, and chocolate. All topped with cute holiday sprinkles! Perfect for holiday cookie tins or to leave out for Santa!

Rum Balls

Nov 15, 2020

Rum Balls – a classic holiday treat! Crushed cookies, ground pecans, and spiced rum make a delicious no bake dessert. Really cute in cookie tins!

Overhead shot of rum balls rolled in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and chopped pecans

Holiday cookie tin season is my favorite season.

Especially this year when we can’t really hang out with people. So a cute cookie tin filled with delicious treats left on the front porch is a great way to make fun holiday memories with your family and friends.

My cookie tins always have my favorite cranberry orange cookies, some kind of fudge (maybe eggnog or cookies and cream), and these rum balls!

Rum balls are so easy and so delicious! They’re completely no bake so you really just have to combine all the ingredients, roll it into balls, and roll the balls into your desired toppings, like powdered sugar or chopped nuts. They’re a holiday classic and a must make!

Bourbon Praline Fudge - quick and easy fudge that tastes just like homemade pralines! With just a hint of bourbon and a crunch of pecans. Your holiday cookie tins need this fudge!

Pralines are one of my favorite holiday treats but I can’t make them to save my life.

That’s why I love this Bourbon Praline Fudge recipe. It tastes just like pralines but with a lot less work. It doesn’t require a candy thermometer so it’s practically fool proof.

This fudge would be a great for a holiday cookie exchange or in your holiday cookie tins!

White Chocolate Crockpot Candy

White Chocolate Crockpot Candy – easy 4 ingredient white chocolate peanut clusters! Made completely in the slow cooker. Perfect for holidays!

White Chocolate Crockpot Candy - easy 4 ingredient white chocolate peanut clusters! Made completely in the slow cooker. Perfect for holidays!

My most popular recipe I’ve ever shared is my Crockpot Candy recipe. It is also my personal favorite and I make it for every holiday. I think I made 7 batches this past holiday season.

So it’s about time that I made a White Chocolate Crockpot Candy!

I’m a white chocolate person so I almost prefer this version to the original. It is only 4 ingredients and made in the slow cooker. It’s just so easy!

Plus, you can change up the sprinkles you use for the holidays. How cute are they for Valentine’s Day with little heart sprinkles? It would also be cute around Halloween with black and orange spooky sprinkles on top. Or 4th of July red and blue star sprinkles?! Adorable.

Crockpot Candy is a must make for the holiday season! It's like chocolate covered peanuts but better! Only 4 ingredients and made completely in the slow cooker. It makes a ton so it is perfect for cookie tins or holiday parties!

This is my ultimate, most favorite recipe ever.

If I had to pick a signature recipe, this would be it.

And it’s not even mine.

My best friend Megan and her mom gave me this recipe years and years ago.

They make it every Christmas and every Christmas I would beg her to bring me some. I honestly had no idea it was so easy until she showed up at my house with all the ingredients on year and threw it all in the slow cooker.

Now I make at least 2 batches every holiday season to fill Christmas cookie tins and send as teacher gifts. It is so delicious, practically addictive, everyone loves it, and everyone you gift it to will be asking for the recipe!

I also love to fill Christmas cookie tins with my Cranberry Orange Cookies, Eggnog Fudge, and Pistachio Thumbprint Cookies.

Christmas Confetti Cookies - soft and chewy sugar cookies rolled in Christmas sprinkles. Santa is going to love these cookies!

I’ve been blogging for a long time and over the years I’ve claimed that many cookies were my favorite Christmas cookies but these Christmas Confetti Cookies are definitely my most favorite Christmas cookie ever.

Sprinkles just make everything better so Christmas sprinkles make everything a million times better.

Plus, I love a soft sugar cookie. Don’t you? Just a buttery sugar cookie that practically melts in your mouth. The best.

This is a really easy, simple recipe that would be great for baking with kids. Kids love sprinkles as much as I love sprinkles so I know they’d love rolling the cookie dough through a big bowl of colorful sprinkles.

And I’ve been told that Santa also really loves sprinkles.

White Chocolate Peppermint Fudge

White Chocolate Peppermint Fudge – homemade white chocolate fudge with crushed peppermints! Easy, delicious, and perfect for Christmas!

White Chocolate Peppermint Fudge - homemade white chocolate fudge with crushed peppermints! Easy, delicious, and perfect for Christmas!

Happy Monday!

How is your holiday prep going?

We finally got our tree this weekend. I think I had mine up weeks before Thanksgiving last year but we’ve just been so busy/we kept waiting for a tree lot to pop up around us and nothing ever did.

My closet has filled with Target boxes and I’ve watched The Holiday Calendar 17 times.

It doesn’t really feel like Christmas though. You know? It’s not super cold, I haven’t taken the dogs to see Santa, we haven’t even made gingerbread houses yet.

Okay first, I want you to know that I didn’t know what to call these so I asked my dear sweet precious boyfriend who suggested…

Deer droppings.

Why?!

Of all the things he could have said.

We’re not going to call them that. Please don’t call them that.

Pistachio Thumbprint Cookies - pistachio cookies with vanilla filling and a chocolate drizzle! The perfect Christmas cookie!

It’s Christmas cookie season!

How excited are you?!

And how was Thanksgiving?!

My kids were out of town and since I very rarely get a night without kids and I’m also always whining about the lack of poke in our tiny city, BF drove us 45 minutes Wednesday night so we could have a Thanksgiving sushi burrito and poke bowl. He had to work real Thanksgiving and I was happy not to cook a single thing this year.

And then I never left the house the rest of the weekend except to pick my kids up yesterday.

It was perfect.

Gluten Free Iced Orange Cookies - the perfect gluten free holiday cookie recipe! Tender cookies with orange zest and topped with a delicious sweet orange glaze.

We had parent teacher conferences last month and during one of them my blog came up and we started talking about how I do a lot of paleo stuff and the teacher mentioned that she and her husband are gluten free so when her students bring in homemade treats for her, she typically has to pass them on to other teachers.

And I don’t know if I’ve told you guys but I love all my kids’ teachers this year. I love them.

So obviously gluten free treats needed to be made for her.
