Happy Wednesday, y’all!
Thought I’d share a little something different today.
There’s a food truck event on the 4th Saturday of every month over in Temple, which is just a quick 30 minute drive for me. I try to go every month because it’s a good excuse to get out of Killeen and also because I like to eat.
I could go to all these food trucks any day I want but there’s just something more fun about them all being gathered in one area. And they usually have music and there’s all sorts of stuff going on.
This was our first time trying La Cocinera.
We went with the La Cocinera Plate which comes with an empanada, cubinato sliders, tostones, sweet plantains, and sorullitos.
Everything was delicious. The empanada was easily the best I’ve ever had. And the sweet plantains were fantastic! I can never get sweet plantains right at home so I order them whenever I see them on a menu.
One truck we stop at pretty much every month is Fire Street Pizza. They have a pizza oven in the side of their truck.
In the side of their truck.
We went for the Harvest Moon which we haven’t tried yet.
It had garlic tarragon extra-virgin olive oil, three cheese blend of mozzarella, aged provolone, muenster, peppery arugula, Parmesan, and fresh pesto.
Their pizzas are all 8-inches so they’re perfect for 1 person or for sharing with all your children, if you are me.
And if you follow me on social media anywhere, you know I’m in a committed relationship with Korean Kravings.
I dream about their kimchi fries.
I stalk them on social media to see where they’ll be.
I am an addict.
We always get the Kimchi Fries but we also got the Spicy Bulgogi Dog this time. So good. You guys, seriously, if you’re local, find Korean Kravings and get some kimchi fries and the Bulgogi Tacos and the hot dog.
Remember: 4th Saturday of each month! Over by City Hall in Temple. If you’re going next month, let me know. If you need directions, also let me know! I’d love to see some of you there!
