Preheat oven to 350F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluff. Add egg, orange zest, and vanilla; beat until fully combined.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt until no lumps remain. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat until just combined. Use a rubber spatula to fold in white chocolate cihips.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake 11 - 13 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack. Repeat with remaining dough.
