Oooo, they’re so pretty! And they look delish even though they don’t have the cake batter taste :) They remind me of rainbow chips ahoy cookies, eeee.

I admit that I don’t like blondies. They are jsut weird to me. But I think I could get over that with some funfetti. LOVE funfetti and cake batter.

I LOVE blondies but they’ve got to be soft so days later they’re not my fav unless I heat em up. The sprinkles make these so fun. Do they taste like regular blondies or a mix of that and cake?

I think they had more of a vanilla taste than they would have without the cake mix but other than that, just a regular blondie. I used a white mix though – I bet the yellow cake mix would taste more “cakey”.

Ooh, I have just the cake mix recipe for you. I made it taste as un-cakey as possible, so there’s no room for disappointment ;)

Have you tried Paula Deen’s Gooey Butter Cake yet? That one definitely has the boxed cake mix taste.

Clearly the use of cake mix in baking is underrated, these look fantastic!

These look good. I like my desserts to be soft and chewy. I can’t even remember when the last time was I made blondies. Don’t sprinkles make the world a better place?!

glad you enjoyed even if the flavor wasn’t as strong as you wanted! I feel like I could still really taste it–maybe bc it was a diff brand? Yours look so pretty!

I saw this picture and got a big smile on my face. I used to love making funfetti cupcakes for the girls, never thought to add them to a blondie. Can’t wait to try these.

I have made this twice and the top caved in both times. I am a good baker and I can’t figure out why it is doing this. I followed the recipe exactly. Can anyone help?? They still taste good though.

I didn’t have that problem with these (but a lot of times I do have that issue with brownies) so I went searching and it looks like it could be caused by too much air in the batter – here’s a short article about it. Hmm, who knew! I guess I need to be more careful when I make brownies!

Thanks for reading and commenting! :)
