We’re one week closer to school starting.

Will it ever get here?!

We’re officially all stocked up on notebook paper and pencils and approximately 250 glue sticks. Why so much glue? Why?!

Thankfully, Walmart had everything we needed to stock up on for back to school.

Also important to stock up on for this time of year: Emergen-C.

I drink an Emergen-C packet every morning of my life. I keep a box right by my coffee maker so I don’t forget.

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s being sick. So I try to proactively guard against all the creepy little germs that wanna ruin my day.

And you know the kids are going to be bringing home all sorts of germs once they go back to school.

So I picked up a box of my favorite flavor of Emergen-C at Walmart last week. Plus, some ChapStick because you know chapped lips are also right around the corner. So for this smoothie, I took one of those packets of Emergen-C Super Orange and blended it up with some of my favorites. Coconut water for some extra hydration, strawberries for vitamin C and antioxidants, and an avocado because it is basically a nutrient powerhouse. Plus, healthy fat!

Have you tried avocado in smoothies? They give smoothies a really creamy texture and you won’t even notice them. My kids drink avocado smoothies all the time and have no idea.

And then I added in some orange juice for some extra liquid and extra vitamin C. And ice, of course!

These are really, really good. And full of health!

Strawberry Orange Smoothie

2 servings

Ingredients

1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup fresh sliced strawberries
1/2 avocado
1 packet Emergen-C Super Orange
ice

Instructions

  1. Add coconut water, orange juice, strawberries, avocado, and Emergen-C Super Orange to a blender. Blend until smooth. Add enough ice to reach desired consistency and blend until smooth.
