One Pot Pizza Pasta – pasta cooked with Italian sausage, tomato basil sauce, pepperoni, and lots of cheese. It cooks in just one pot so it is the perfect easy weeknight meal the whole family will love!
Who else feels like life has been insane since school started?
Some days I look up and it’s 5 pm and I have no idea how it happened. It’s like, I’ve been busy all day and I haven’t had a single minute to think about dinner and maybe we’ll just have PB&Js and potato chips.
But gahhh, the guilt!
So I’ve been trying to plan more easy meals and my new favorite thing is easy one-pan meals that cook in less than 30 minutes. Like this One Pan Pizza Pasta!
How To Make One Pan Pizza Pasta!
I know, I’m so behind the times! But the one-pan meals I’d tried in the past just didn’t do it for me. I just haven’t had a lot of luck with them in the pasta.
And then I found this Barilla® Pronto™ pasta which is meant for one-pan meals! It cooks in 10 minutes, there’s no draining required, no boiling before adding it to the sauce – you do it all in one pan!
It is seriously so easy! You start by cooking Italian sausage and onion until the sausage is cooked through and the onion has softened. Then you add garlic, tomato basil sauce (I used a jar of sauce, you can make your own if you prefer!), and pepperoni. Add a little bit of water and stir in the Barilla® Pronto™ Rotini.
The pasta cooks in just 10 minutes and then you top it with an Italian blend cheese and stir until it’s all melted and delicious!
