Maple Pecan Baked Brie – delicious melty brie topped with a maple, brown sugar, and pecan mixture. Serve with apple slices and graham crackers! This is perfect as a holiday appetizer or the star of your cheeseboard!
I am so excited for this post today!
Remember a few weeks ago how we talked about creating a boo kit full of candy and other fun stuff? This version is even more fun!
It’s called… Hallo-WINE!
So instead of the basket of candy, you make a basket of wine and other goodies. Drop if off with one of your friends and tell them to pay it forward by making a Hallo-WINE basket for someone else.
I live in this weird world where everyone I know is currently missing a husband (gone for training) and I know that every single one of them would LOVE a basket like this to show up at their house on Halloween night.
It’s got everything you need for a perfect night in. All alone or add a few more wine glasses to the basket for a fun girls night!
The basket starts with a bottle of Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay and then I added a yummy candle, a cute throw blanket, the wine glass, and a bottle of fall-colored nailpolish.
Maple Pecan Baked Brie!
And finally, I added in all the ingredients for this Maple Pecan Baked Brie! The round of brie, some pecans, sliced baguette, graham crackers, and sliced apples (tossed with lemon juice to make sure they don’t brown).
So when I drop this basket off with a friend, all she has to add is maple syrup, brown sugar, and cinnamon and I’m just assuming she will have all that already in her kitchen.
I printed out the recipe and popped it in the bottom of the basket so she’ll be able to have a delicious and easy dinner to go with her wine!
How to Make Maple Pecan Baked Brie
This baked brie is so delicious! I’ve made this recipe every New Years Eve for as long as I can remember and every time, it’s gone within minutes.
It is also really simple to make!
You just have to put your brie in the oven until it’s completely melty. DON’T remove the rind or your cheese will melt all over your baking dish and make a huge mess. Leave the rind on!
While the cheese is in the oven, you are going to stir together maple syrup, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small saucepan over low heat until the brown sugar is melted. And then you stir in the pecans.
Once the brie comes out of the oven, just pour the brown sugar pecan mixture over top and serve immediately. It will start to cool down and firm up fairly quickly so you definitely don’t want to make this before your guests arrive. I like to serve it with apple slices, sliced baguette, and I think it’s particularly delicious with graham crackers!
If you’re interested in the Robert Mondavi Private Selection wines, keep an eye out for the special “You’ve Been Hallo-wined” neck hanger tags! They also have instant redeemable coupons and mail in rebates through November 30, 2015.

I’m a cheese novice. Do you leave the rind on the cheese when you bake it?
amanda says
Yes, leave the rind on. It keeps all the cheese from oozing out before you’re ready. :)
Angela says
Yes leave the rind on otherwise it will become a brie puddle in the oven!

Can I use walnuts instead of pecans?
Lorie says
This combination looks delicious. I’m going to test this on the family this weekend. I may substitute walnuts or peanuts instead of pecans. I’ll let you know how it went!

Michelle says
When do you remove the rind?
Amanda Livesay says
Leave the rind on and once you cut into it, the hot cheese will start to ooze out. :)
