Skinny Tequila Sunrise Margaritas – a low calorie margarita recipe using low sugar orange juice, limes, tequila, orange liqueur, and a little grenandine. The perfect summer cocktail!

Hey guys, happy Friday!

I made us margaritas because I am so done with winter and can’t even believe it’s still 30-something degrees in the mornings.

And is there anything that makes you feel more summery than a gorgeous margarita?

I mean, maybe it not being 30 degrees so you can wear your cute summer clothes would make you feel more summery. But these Skinny Tequila Sunrise Margaritas will have to work for now.

Also, my kids have been on spring break all week and if I hear the backdoor open and shut more time I may actually lose my mind.

Just go outside and stay outside. Or stay inside. I really don’t care. But for the love of everything, just pick one and stay there.

How to Make Skinny Tequila Sunrise Margarita

This Skinny Tequila Sunrise Margarita is definitely going to be my official summer drink. I love a salty margarita anyway but make it this pretty and low calorie? It doesn’t get any better.

So it’s just a standard tequila sunrise but with lime juice, orange liqueur, and a salty rim. And it looks way more complicated than it is – everything gets mixed in a pitcher together, except for the grenadine. Once you pour it over ice, you just drop a tiny bit of grenadine in and it settles at the bottom of the glass, giving it that sunrise look.

Top it with a lime wedge and a maraschino cherry and that’s it.

Oh, and since this is the skinny version, you’re going to need a low calorie orange juice and some liquid stevia instead of a simple syrup. Just a drop or 2 of the stevia should make it plenty sweet.

Enjoy these skinny margaritas all summer with absolutely no guilt!
