It may be called a salad but there is absolutely nothing healthy about it! But man, is it good!
I made this strawberry pretzel salad last week and my 3 year old kept asking me why it was red. After telling him over and over again that it was because it had strawberries in it, he told me that he wanted a purple one.
And grape jello.
And while I couldn’t stomach anymore jello (I hate the stuff!) I knew the whole family would love this classic Grape Salad recipe.
How to Make Grape Salad!
It is so simple to make! The dressing is made of cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. It’s sweet with just a slight tang from the sour cream. The grapes get tossed into the dressing until they are nice and coated.
And then it is topped with brown sugar and pecans for a bit of a crunch. How can it be anything but delicious?!
We are all obsessed with it. This batch went so quickly in my house and my kids are already asking me to make it again! It’s definitely going to become a regular at my house.
Plus, it will be perfect for all those outdoor get-togethers that we’ll all be heading to in the coming months!
If you want to make it ahead of time, you can let it sit overnight in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
I would double the recipe, though, because it’s going to be the first thing gone from the table!

- 1 cup 8 ounces sour cream

- 3 tablespoons chopped pecans
- Use an electric mixer to beat cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add grapes and toss to coat. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Before serving, sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
