So I guess the Superbowl is this weekend?

I stopped caring about the NFL when it became apparent that my teams weren’t going all the way.

But I do care about Superbowl food!

I care a lot about Superbowl food.

The amount of time I spend planning my Superbowl menu every year is insane. The amount of money I spend buying ingredients for my Superbowl menu is even more insane.

But anyway, I’ve got a super easy idea to feed a crowd at your Superbowl party! And if you love these Texas Cheese Fries, you’re also going to love my Pulled Pork Fries.

What Are Texas Cheese Fries?

Texas Cheese Fries are served as an appetizer in restaurants like Chili’s and Cheddar’s. They are crispy fries topped with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, green onions, and jalapenos.

How To Make Texas Cheese Fries

Okay. This is the easiest snack to make for a group.

Just take a big bag of frozen seasoned fries and bake them until they’re good and crispy. Top that with shredded cheddar cheese and bacon and broil it until the cheese is melted. And then sliced green onions and pickled jalapenos on top!

Plus you have to have ranch on the side for dipping because they wouldn’t be Texas cheese fries without ranch!

I love them so much. I ate almost the whole plate by myself.

And I feel no shame about it.

Nicole made the perfect Superbowl drink: Michelada Marias! They are kicked up Coronas with lime, salt, and hot sauce!

Can You Make Texas Cheese Fries Ahead?

No, I don’t recommend making these ahead of time as you want the fries to be nice and crispy.

However, you can do parts of the prep ahead of time. Like, you can shred the cheese and fry the bacon so that’s a couple less steps you have to do when you are ready to bake the fries.

How Long Are Texas Cheese Fries Good For?

Texas Cheese Fries are best served right away but will keep in the fridge for several days.

I would recommend reheating in the oven to try to get a little crispiness back in the fries.
